It’s About Time…

We promised you something exciting, and we can at last reveal a few more details. Starting this weekend, we will be going back in time for our very first Classic Series commentary – The Aztecs! This black and white serial features the original TARDIS crew and stars William Hartnell as a very different type of Doctor.

Even better news – the Impossible Podcast family of Caleb, James, Swithun and Peter is finally back together. This is James’s very first experience of the Classic Series and we’ve already had great fun recording our commentaries. Now we’re looking forward to sharing them with the world at large.

We’re also hoping the world at large is ready to share with us. We always appreciate receiving your comments, critcisms and questions, either via the blog or our Facebook group, so please do get in touch and let us know what you think. You can even send your thoughts in the form of a short audio clip, which we’ll try our best to include in the podcast.

As if all that wasn’t enough, we’ve finally caved in to popular demand and decided to work our way through the New Series back catalogue. Expect commentary on Series 1 (starring Christopher Eccleston and Billie Piper) to begin soon(ish). We’re even going to take a crack at series 2 of The Sarah Jane Adventures! And no, we haven’t forgotten the competition and interviews we mentioned in the last update, but you’ll have to wait a little longer for details on those, I’m afraid.

So all in all, it’s a busy time ahead for A Podcast Of Impossible Things. We hope you can join us!

Doctor Who Commentary – 4.11 ‘Turn Left’

Join us, a bunch of Cardiff-based Doctor Who fans, as we try to persuade our doubting wives and girlfriends that Catherine Tate’s dodgy insectoid rucksack is actually a cunning reference to ‘Planet Of The Spiders’. Yes, it’s ‘Turn Left’, episode 4.11 of the popular science-fiction drama, including Rose’s return, continuity errors and “refugee chic”.

This week’s commentators: Caleb, Peter, Beverley and Anna.
