Caleb Woodbridge, P.G. Bell and Swithun Dobson give their commentary on episode 2, ‘Rendition’ (spoiler-free review here, detailed review to follow), as they discuss CIA security, DIY chemistry, zombie Ianto and much more!
The newly reunited Captain Jack and Gwen Cooper (John Barrowman and Eve Myles) find themselves separated from Rhys (Kai Owen) and baby Anwen (aaaw!) as Rex Matherson (Mekhi Phifer) extradites them to the good old U. S. of A. But with sinister CIA agent Lyn Peterfield (Dichen Lachman off of Nieghbours and Dollhouse) taking orders from above, will they even make it across the Atlantic? (Yes, since it’s only episode 2!)
Plus we discuss your feedback – thanks to Adam Purcell of Staggering Stories, A Figleaf of your Imagination (aka Aled Morgan) of Blogga the Hut and to Shuggie for their comments.

Good stuff as ever guys! And I'm actually getting it on iTunes now yay!
One thing I felt with the shift in direction for Torchwood (i.e. from bad to good!) they never really wrapped up the original setting very well. Presumably the rift is still dumping aliens and inadvertant time travelers into Cardiff, plus the city is apparently so rampant with Weevils I'm surprised you guys haven't seen one yet!
I get the need to rapidly shift direction but just blowing up the Torchwood base hasn't solved the problem, more likely made it worse!
As a 'Who' fan who managed to endure both series just a one liner explaining it would have been great. But anyway still really enjoying this new series and can't wait to see it pan out.
I'm glad iTunes is working for you. I've done a bit of investigating, and iTunes has recently removed the feature to "ping" it to let it know that there's a new episode, so it can take some time (up to a day or two) for episodes to show up in the Podcast directory. But if you're subscribed, they should come through automatically.
As for wrapping up the Rift and the Weevils, well, perhaps the Rift got closed along with the Cracks when the Doctor rebooted the universe at the end of series 5 – who knows?
